MEXICO – USA – MALLORCA

A bold and experimental sample of these two young artists who went from Barcelona to Mexico in 2010, thirsty for mexican inspiration and passion to put their diffrent styles together in one work. They intented to reach a level of absolute mutual understanding between the two artists, the environment and the materials.

The result of their work is an abstract collection of two sides of painted canvas, playing with filtration and the behavior of different materials, never touching it directly with the brush, creating very intresting textures and compositicions.

But it is not the only reason for the name ‘Cara a Cara’, meaning ‘face to face’. They paint together simultaneously, trying to translate a predetermined feeling in each painting: anger, confidence, jealousy… while allowing their subcinscious to flow freely. It is a new media and a new method in which the act of painting becomes a dance, a game or a combat.
