In the project The Wall, Xiscalina Yular shows her concern about the decontextualization of the photographs that makes her question both space and globalization. The project began three years ago from her obsession with street art, abstractions and with the effects time has on streets. She takes pictures of walls in unknown streets across the world and she pastes them on different walls, in other countries, without staging. This is an idea that starts from a previously given record, but it also requires external intervention in order to be carried out.
XY also gambles with different formats, as she often portrays photography as posters, stickers, etc. in order to involve more people in this new way of drawing graffiti on walls.
